Brian and Katie were married on 08.15.15, and on one of the hottest days that Madison has experienced. The humidity was a saturated 100% and the temps were 99 to 100! A smokin’ hot day for a smokin’ hot couple in love. OH YEAH! But, we had the luxury of air conditioning all day.
Katie and the girls got ready at the Concourse Hotel while the guys gathered at a rental house near campus. Right away I knew there was a sports team rivalry! Katie is a Texas native and a Longhorns fan (I know I know I tried telling her no this isn’t allowed in Badger country). Even worse Brian went to Notre Dame and of course is Fighting Irish fan. How can this be? In Madison? They met at Epic and rest a love story made among Badger fans. All joking aside they were made for one another, seriously. Katie has the most amazing big Texas smile, and Brian is just smitten with her. They made it easy to take pictures because there love is so real, so palpable, so EPIC! (sorry I had to!)
The ceremony and reception was held at The Overture Center for the Arts. One of my favs! We had the air-conditioned luxury of the entire space for picture taking and festivities. We did venture out on the street for about 10 minutes because you have to get some state street photos on your wedding day. You just have to! Oh and the entire wedding party, the friends, the family were all awesome! The dance floor was hopping, there was break dancing (yep!), and an entire “choo choo” train line that spilled over the dance floor and into the entire space. Epic! Katie’s expressions are priceless and there love is so awesome!
And I had the awesome help of Wes Peck of Wesley Allen Photography as my super duper second shooter for the entire day. Thanks Wes!
See if you can catch the funny blooper at the garter toss. And with that, Congrats Katie and Brian!
