Kevin and Sarah’s Rustic Lakeside Wedding in the U.P.
Two states, (well really three), Labor Day weekend, trees, lakes, a bride and groom, and family and friends are the perfect ingredients for a warm loving at home Northwoods lakeside wedding.
Kevin and Sarah live in Colorado and traveled to her parents home to say I do. Not just traveled, but pulled a cute little camper with their dog cross country for the weekend wedding festivities. The Dome Home where Sarah’s parents live sits on a little hill between two lakes, Bluebell Lake and Honeysuckle Lake. The scenery is pristine with wildlife and untouched shores. Friends and family camped on the property with tents or RVs and had a memorable labor day weekend in the woods. Kevin and Sarah were married lakeside on the pier of Honeysuckle Lake under the late afternoon sun. We then took the opportunity to photograph these newly weds in the best setting ever of Home and Up North!
We then drove to the reception location about 5 miles away to Presque Isle, WI on Oxbow Lake. The food, the band, the moon and stars all celebrated Sarah and Kevin. It was fun and heartwarming and real and genuine as it gets. A few mosquito bites later, full stomaches and warm hearts we said our goodbyes and best wishes to Sarah and Kevin.
Cheers- Erin Melissa
