Cara and Matt are married at the Wisconsin Historical Society and University Club – Madison Wisconsin Wedding Photographer
Matt and I met in 2008 when an accounting professor at the University of Wisconsin decided to assign seats. Since then, we’ve been classmates, close friends, co-workers, a couple and co-parents of a very cute cat.
We’ve followed each other around through four cities, nine apartments and multiple careers. For our wedding, we returned to two buildings on Library Mall that we used to pass on our walk home from class.
We wondered if it might rain as we were getting ready to take photos against the stately backdrop of the Wisconsin Historical Society. But instead we all benefited from a blue-gray sky that accentuated the color palette of the event.
When the rain showed up later, it arrived on cue. Guests said it started pouring the moment Matt capped off our Jewish ceremony with the customary breaking of a glass.
At the reception next door in the University Club, everyone cheered when we broke out the violin and saxophone in the final moments of our first dance. A magical day surrounded by our loved ones ended on a perfect note.

What a joyful day for Matt and Cara surrounded by happiness and love. They were a joy to work with and both exude an air of casual elegance that will surely carry them through their lives. I had the best time capture their wedding day and telling their wedding story. Cheers to Matt and Cara!
